CSKA Moscow contributed the most: 17 of 39 points, 44% of everything Russia earned in 2008/09. Next came Zenit St. Petersburg (13) and Spartak Moscow (6). Clubs by their main competition that season: 4 in the UEFA Cup. Compared with 2007/08 (11.25), Russia had a coefficient 1.5 lower and dropped from 4th to 7th place in the season ranking.
