Bayern München contributed the most: 22 of 102 points, 22% of everything Germany earned in 2016/17. Next came Borussia Dortmund (22) and Bayer Leverkusen (18). Clubs by their main competition that season: 3 in the Champions League, 4 in the Europa League. Compared with 2015/16 (16.428), Germany had a coefficient 1.857 lower and dropped from 2nd to 3rd place in the season ranking. Since 2004/05 it ranks 16th of 22 seasons; the country's best was 2025/26 (21.785).
