FC Barcelona contributed the most: 27 of 106.5 points, 25% of everything Spain earned in 2008/09. Next came Atlético Madrid (16) and Villarreal (16). Clubs by their main competition that season: 4 in the Champions League, 4 in the UEFA Cup. Compared with 2007/08 (13.875), Spain had a coefficient 0.563 lower and dropped from 2nd to 3rd place in the season ranking. Since 2004/05 it ranks 21st of 22 seasons; the country's best was 2015/16 (23.928).
