FC Porto contributed the most: 16 of 47.5 points, 34% of everything Portugal earned in 2008/09. Next came Sporting Braga (14) and Sporting CP Lisbon (12). Clubs by their main competition that season: 2 in the Champions League, 5 in the UEFA Cup. Compared with 2007/08 (7.928), Portugal had a coefficient 1.143 lower and dropped from 8th to 10th place in the season ranking. Since 2004/05 it ranks 21st of 22 seasons; the country's best was 2025/26 (20.5).
